Never Forget

The Strike Out Kids Cancer Foundation hopes we never forget the sacrifices and heroism of September 11 – 20 years ago.

We are proud to highlight the eleven ways that the 9-11 Foundation recently listed for ways to remember September 11th on the anniversary of the tragic attacks twenty years later.

These were released one day at a time starting September 1st and ran through today. We feel that each of these have value and realize some will make substitutions consistent with their personal beliefs, but for those hoping to remember September 11, we feel this is a good list for citizens, teachers, community groups, and others.

Day One: Learn CPR

Day Two: Volunteer

Day Three: Less Partisanship

Day Four: Donate Blood

Day Five: Attend A Religious Event

Day Six: Visit Your Local Police Precinct

Day Seven: Moment of Silence

Day Eight: Raise The Flag

Day Nine: Visit Your Firehouse

Day Ten: Donate

Day Eleven: Share Your Experience

Never Forget 9-11 and Strrike Out Kids Cancer

Strike Out Kids Cancer Foundation was started in part with the generous support of the 9-11 Foundation. We are grateful for their work in inspiring the next generation to overcome adversity and challenge and help others to do so also.

The 9-11 Foundation was founded with the intent of keeping the lessons of September 11 alive in future generations by teaching lessons on teamwork, family, passion for excellence, intelligence and good decision making, and self respect.

These lessons were part of the response that day, but have life long value in raising the next generation of both responders and good citizens who participate in their neighborhoods.

Their nonprofit was ready to support us once we started and encouraged Dodge Suprun to follow his passion for excellence in serving the public. The financial support and introduction to funding networks got Strike Out Kids Cancer moving from dream to reality.

We want to thank the board and volunteers who made this vision possible by recognizing the next generation’s ability to serve like 20 years ago.
