Tom Grieve has agreed to help our North Texas Giving Day fundraising campaign and issued a personal challenge to radio station 96.7 The Ticket’s P1 listeners.
Tom’s ad will air both over the air and in digital formats. Strike Out Kids Cancer Foundation is hoping to raise $25,000 this year through the annual community fundraising drive.
We are excited to have a Rangers legend and community great involved with the campaign this year.
Mr. Grieve was drafted as an Outfielder into Major League Baseball by the Washington Senators and played in Washington along with the Texas Rangers, New York Mets, and St. Louis Cardinals. He would later serve as General Manager of the team and as a color commentator for the broadcast team also.
Grieve is well known throughout the community and his son, Ben, was the second overall selection making them the first Father-Son combination both drafted in the first round of the Major League Draft.
